Darwen

The town of Darwen, near Blackburn, isn't the most photogenic of places, and I struggled to find anything much of interest! The main Market Hall, with its clock tower, was a fine looking building though.
Looking toward Blackburn.
Through the trees.
A deserted Bridge Street.
Looking the other way in Bridge Street.
It was a lunch stop for me at Friar Rugg's.
There are two markets in Darwen. The Main Hall building can be seen in the distance, and there is also  a less than impressive building (architecturally speaking), where a 3-day market is held.

Final view of the market.
My next port of call after Darwen was Blackburn, travelling on the regular bus service.
