| Milnthorpe is a small market town between Carnforth and Kendal. The Square, which is a car park except on market day, when the various stalls take over the area. |

| On the crossroads through Milnthorpe is the Cross Keys Hotel. The road to the left goes to Carnforth and Lancaster; to the far right to Kendal; and in front of the Cross Keys to the right to Arnside. |
