Please Take No Notice!
This notice was displayed at Windermere railway station. It is the end of the line, so I would most certainly hope that ALL trains stop there!
That's funny Mike! I remember being told something similar a few years ago when taking the train to Windermere! There were some people on the train (tourists who didn't know the area) who didn't believe it, and they were sitting on the train waiting for it to pull out to go 'to the next stop' ....wherever they thought that was! They were finally persuaded that they should get off as the train was not going anywhere further on!
