Sunday In Morecambe: Part 1 of 2

It was a warm, sunny, Sunday morning. Too nice to stay indoors. So I went for a stroll into Morecambe and back, about two miles each way, armed with camera. The above image is of the West End of Morecambe, and is always a lot quieter on the promenade here than at the central part. A handful of folk on the beach, but it was before 11am.
Coffee outside in the sunshine at The Breeze Cafe, or the 'Microwave' as I prefer to call it.
Cooling off under the water shoots.
A framed picture. looking out across Morecambe Bay. As can be seen, the tide was out.
Not sure what to say about this!
Looking sorry for itself and down at heel, the abandoned former Alhambra Theatre. The West End Indoor Market occupied the ground floor until about a year ago. Now the building is  empty and up for sale.
The steps down to The Coffee Pot look pretty steep at this angle.
Despite the name, not a shop for Anglers, 'Fish 'N' Tips.'
This has somehow escaped being demolished, being part of the long closed Frontierland amusement park.
These tatty looking buildings are all  that remains of Frontierland, now partly occupied by a Thwaites Brewery pub. They really do look out of place and an eyesore in my opinion.
Morecambe's former railway station ( the newer station is now a short walk away). Home to The Platform entertainments centre, the Tourist Information Centre, and 'The Station' pub.
The station canopy at the front of the building was retained, despite the changes and redevelopment of the area around it. The Art Deco style Midland Hotel, also built by the railway company, can be seen on the left.
