Caton

The village of Caton is situated in the Lune Valley, near Lancaster, and as a result many make the daily trip to the latter place for work. This information board is a useful feature giving details of Caton and the surrounding area.
Now a public footpath and cycleway, this used to be the route of the old railway line.
Station House, now a private residence. The railway line to Lancaster was closed in 1966.
Caton Post office. I called in there on this particular day as I had a letter to post. The Crazy Cake Company is based in the building set back on the left.
The village hall. The Victoria Institute is a very popular meeting place for the rural community of villages and hosts a wide range of activities and events
The Fish Stones and The Ancient Oak Tree.
Alongside the Ancient Oak Tree is Oak Tree Cottage.
