Blackpool

Blackpool's Winter Gardens complex is home to The Opera House. The building was opened in July 1878.
Abingson Street. It was snowing fairly steadily when I took this photograph.
The North Pier. Built in the 1860s, it is the longest and oldest of Blackpool's three piers.
Looking along the length of the North Pier. Pretty much deserted, which was not surprising due to the weather.
Blackpool Tower seen from North Pier.
Apparently Sooty was discovered at the North Pier. What a shame!
Another view of the North Pier.
Tram heading for Fleetwood Ferry. The 'Flexity' trams were introduced to service in April 2012 as part of an upgrade to the whole system which stretches 11 miles from Starr Gate to Fleetwood.

One of the popular attractions, Sea Life.
