Astley Park, Chorley: Part 2 of 2

Another view of Astley Hall that overlooks the Park.
This building houses the Chorley Remembers Experience museum. There is also a cafe. To the rear of the building is a courtyard and a walled garden.

The courtyard. Shame about those two cars being parked there. Rather spoils the view.
Growing in the Walled Garden.

This Tudor-style house is in one corner of the garden.
A view across part of the garden.

The very old magnificent Magnolia tree.
Statue of Benjamin Disraeli.
Back in the Park, this ornate fountain.
It was a boiling hot day, so it was nice to stand in the shade of a tree for a while.
A final look at Astley Hall.
The long walk back to the Park exit.
Sadly I never had time to follow this path.
A family of ducks enjoying the Park lake.
