Walking Around Grasmere: The Final Part

The final part of the walk along the shore of Grasmere. Having already gone through White Moss and Penny Rock Wood (see images from previous days), we now continue around the lake, but not before I was joined by a local who wanted a drink. Loughrigg terrace can be seen in the background.
The views on this section of the walk were stunning.
There were just so many places where I stopped and took a photograph.

It seems to be a very good year for foxgloves.
Over the bridge and follow the path.
I liked the ripple effect in the water.
Passing by an old boathouse.
Grasmere looked so still at this point with the reflections in the water.
What a fantastic place to rest a while.
It was time to move on and shortly leave the shore of Grasmere.

Still time for a few more photo's though.

Another bench to sit on and admire the view.

Time to leave the shore, but not before saying cheerio to a couple of locals.
Head away from the shore, along the path to the lane.
Another  glimpse of Grasmere.
Up the wooden steps to the lane and the final part of the walk into the village of Grasmere.
Liquid refreshment was needed, but not at the Grasmere Fairyland.
That's the sign I wanted to see. Tweedies Bar. I had arrived in Grasmere village.

A fantastic walk and a great way to end it.
