Walking Around Grasmere

Having walked through White Moss and Penny Rock Wood (see previous set of images), we now cross this footbridge to reach the path that will follow the shore of Grasmere (the lake), and eventually take me to Grasmere (the village).
There are some stunning views on this section of the walk.
The first real look directly across Grasmere.
The wooded area is Penny Rock Wood, which I had walked through to reach this point. There were, not surprisingly, a few more walkers to be seen on this section of the walk.
Enjoy the views, for they just keep on coming!

It's easy walking along the shore.

The building across the other side of the Lake, is the Daffodil Hotel (Ugh! Awful name).

There were so many photographic possibilities.
A look back from from where I had walked. Loughrigg terrace dominates the scene, where there are several other footpaths.

Images from he final part of the walk around the back of Grasmere will be featured tomorrow.
