Fairy Glen: Rosemarkie

The Fairy Glen Nature Reserve is in the village of Rosemarkie, which is on the Black isle, north of Inverness.
There is a footpath through the heart of the wooded Glen.
Warning of a disease affecting ash trees.
The path is very easy to follow.
The beck flows through the Glen as well.

As can be seen, the walk is shaded by the trees throughout.
Eventually you reach a clearing where there is a small lake. There were a few ducks to be seen, but they were very shy when it came to having their photo's taken!

The path narrows and climbs a little.
Still following the beck though.
Warning, horror photo. Look away now. Yours truly in the Glen (pic - Lynda Braithwaite).
A final view of the shaded Glen.
