Cromarty Revisited: Part 1 of 3

Regular visitors to the North West Images site will know how much we like Cromarty on the Black Isle. We returned for a second visit in June - any excuse! -  The first image above shows the view out over the Cromarty Firth towards the Sutors (the two headlands).
Across the Firth is Nigg and the rig repair yards.
Just off the South Sutor.
The school.
The former lighthouse.

Not surprisingly there are a few boats, of all shapes and sizes, in Cromarty.

On look out duties.
Rigs in Cromarty Firth.
A giant tyre and chain on the beach.

The Nigg Ferry was tied up in Cromarty Harbour due the exceptionally low tide.
Rock covered in seaweed.
Cromarty Harbour.
Ready for the next fishing trip.
