North Kessock: Part 1 of 2

Such was the varied lighting conditions when we visited North Kessock, that it produced some challenging moments for photography. The village of North Kessock, was at one time linked to South Kessock and therefore Inverness by car and pedestrian ferry, but that ceased operating when the Kessock Bridge opened. The first view is a good example of the 'strange' lighting conditions, looking along the Moray Forth.
South Kessock and Inverness is across the other side of the Moray Firth.
Looking towards the Kessock Bridge.
The bridge carries the busy A9 between Inverness and the far north. It has only just been 'refurbished,' a project that took well over a year to complete.

The house in this image marks the end, or beginning, of the Caledonain Canal which links Loch Ness, and ownards to Fort William. We actually walked alongside that house and through the village of Clachnaharry about 12 months ago.
The quiet main street of North Kessock.
There is an hourly bus service linking North Kessock with Inverness.
