Morecambe

A sunny day in my adopted home town of Morecambe. Looking toward Heysham.
In the other direction toward Morecambe. Low tide, with rock sea defences prominent.
Looking across Morecambe Bay with the Lake District mountains in the distance.
For a closer view, one could use the telescope.
The start of what has become a very popular Way of the Roses long distance footpath and cycleway. The art-deco Midland Hotel can be seen in the background.

One of the many bird sculptures overlooking Morecambe Bay.
A larger one on the Stone Jetty
The Stone Jetty cafe.
The former lighthouse at the end of the jetty

More birds.
Colourful flower beds on the Promenade.
A few people were taking advantage of the good weather on the beach.
At the end of the walk, and enjoying liquid refreshment in the Eric Bartholomew pub.
