The Town of Murals: Invergordon

Invergordon is a town and port in Ross and Cromarty. It's deep water anchorage enables work to be undertaken on Oil Rigs, which dominate that part of the town. Murals on the side of buildings can be seen everywhere in Invergordon. It reminds me very much of similarly adorned buildings in Belfast. It certainly brightens up what would otherwise be a bit of a drab place. Take a look at the murals below.

Invergordon describes itself as being the 'Mural town of the Highlands.' The trail is the result of a community project and was opened by The Princess Royal.

This one was unusual for the fact that it made use of a space above the Spar supermarket.
A Scottish theme.
The war time scene was a bit of an odd subject to depict.
Not so sure about this one either.
Even the railway station at Invergordon had murals!
The fierce looking cat.

A lingering goodbye kiss.

Having left the station, back in the town, and still more murals.

Finally, a mural for the Royal National Lifeboat Institute.
