| The Church has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade 1 Listed building. |

Parts of the Church date back to the 12th and 13th Centuries. It was built on the site of a previous Church from the 6th Century. It is dedicated to Saint Kentigern, otherwise known as Saint Mungo.
